Let me share something very personal with you.

In February 2022, I lost my mother, Maria Luisa Soliven, to cancer. As the youngest in our family, I was the one who often traveled with her from our hometown in Bukidnon to Cagayan de Oro for her chemo and radiation treatments. I witnessed how the illness and medications gradually weakened her. Her hair fell out, she lost strength, and simple steps became difficult.

She followed her medical treatments and took a basic B-complex supplement, but I’ve always wondered: Was there something more I could’ve done to support her health?

Earlier, in 2007, I also lost my father, Ramon Soliven Sr., to complications from diabetes. Despite being on a long list of medications, we still lost him.
